Jo. Ekaterina is an independent fashion journalist, living in Moscow, Russia, since 2020 originally from Helsinki, Finland.

She brings to her audience curious and independent point of view about fashion. Her aspiration is to observe, study, explain processes and provide in-depth analytical context about the fashion industry as a whole with the main focus in particular the contemporary Russian fashion realm and to bring it to the Western/international audience.

She was born and raised in Finland by Finnish father and Russian mother. She also has extensive international experience from studying and working abroad. Thus, her bicultural background and international experience enables her to feel the cultural subtleties and bring the 'bridging' conceptualization and understanding of the worlds.

She is free from editorial constraints with attentive, scrupulous and organized grip. Responsible and accountable towards all work-tasks with experience in multi-cultural communication and working in international environments.

Her academic training enables her critically to view and to analyze changes by taking into account different mindsets that prevail in different social contexts as well as bearing in mind international perspective on things and potential future aspects of development.
